Visual Basic to Basic Stamp

I've tried looking this up, but didn't find much excetp for the propellar.
Anyway, I'm working on a camera flash syquencer using a Basic Stamp 2 I got years ago. I am wondering if there is a not-to-difficult way to controll a Basic Stamp with a Visual Basic program running on the connected laptop. I have done some hobby VB programming years ago (making fractals, etc) and I have a free version of VB on my 'puter. But for tweaking the timing for the micro controller controlled flash units, I would like to have some GUI interface, rather than having to go into code and change milli-second timing numbers. Has anyone done any VB to BS2 interfacing before?
