I get a new Macbook Air running 10.8.3 (update of G5)

I try to open a .spin file with bst but console opens!
I change the program opening preference in info windows of file, for one file it works, but not for all.
If i assign bst to all it jump to console after pressing yes on popup

I can change .spin to open all files in text, or excel ... it works.
But when i assign bst it return to console ???

Ps i use mac for more than 15 years

*.spin is also some kind of log file, which is why console opened. When you told Finder to open your spin file with BST, did you push the "Change All..." button right below the open with menu? Also, isn't there a button somewhere in BST to tell it to fix file associations for you? I can't find it now but I'm pretty sure there is one somewhere.

    Yes i use Change all

This is also the issue, when I don't use "change all" the file opens in bst. (change to)
I can change all files one by one, but when I create a new or import I get console again.

    Thanks

Really? That is very odd... Where is BST.app on the hard drive? Has BST ever asked you to fix file associations, and, if so, did you answer yes? Also, I'm still using 10.6.8, so they may have changed something since then that I don't know about. Are you an administrator on the computer you're using?

Got that problem as well. It appears that when Safari has a problem, it sometimes generates a log file ending in ".spin". These are system files and I suspect the OS won't let you modify them, so when you select "Change All" the system won't let you change the actual "system" files and the process fails for all files. Haven't tried to change a single system .spin file (Probably hidden) so this is speculation, but probably close to what is happening.

'Twould be nice if Apple could add a "Change Selected" for situations like this. :-|

My solution was to to search spotlight for all .spin files, select all and "Get Info" and change them individually. Couple hundred files... about 90 minutes of clicking and cursing! :-)

Edit: Modify them easily, that is.
