A Science Fair Experience...

Hey all -One of my favorite attributes of this company is the encouragement, resources, and ability to support kids in learning about cool technologies.

Saturday, I and another "Matt" got to show off a little - and let a bunch of kids from a local charter school PLAY WITH, and LEARN ABOUT robots and associated technologies - (I'm - in no particular order - known as "Matt One" and my compatriot is "Matt Two"...Together we're known as the "Matt Scientists" ;-)

Anyway, there was over 4 hours of "sparking the innovative spirit" into tomorrow's generation - tons of fun and very rewarding!

It's cool to see a little spark begin to ignite a fire...

This is us...before the pandemonium started...

Both parents and kids were fully engaged with many of the exhibits - of course Parallax's Robots were the biggest draw - irresistible!

Sumobots are always a hit - Kind of like the Demolition Derby at the Nevada County Fairgrounds every August...

All in all, we were very pleased with the attendance as well as the care and respect by the students of the technology they were "playing with" - which in reality, as we all know they were really "learning with".

"Contests" seem to follow me around sometimes... :innocent:

So for the Fair, I found a use for a bunch of pieces from my ol' classic TTL collection...

The guesses ranged from "25" on the low side, up to "406" on the high side.

If you want to guess, feel free - but there is no prize here - it's already been given to the young man in the picture below

    Right you are Humanoido :thumb:
When you see that light bulb (just above their head) start to glow, you know you've made an impact!

    People Unclear on the Concept:

Passer-By: Um, excuse me but why is there only one TTL IC in that jar?

    Matt_G: Winner!
