My friend Steve Wang and his team at Biomorphs were contracted by Riot Games to bring another one of their characters to life -- this time it was Ziggs. This dude is really fun, makes everybody smile, and uses nine Propeller chips in total. Two are in the form of EFX-TEK HC-8+ (running the high-current LEDs) and the other seven are QuickStart boards with a small custom add-on (I discuss in my May column) to control fuse sparkling and skull color changes (using WS2801 "smart" LED strings) in the small "floor bombs"

Indeed, a very nice lady, too. Both she and her husband, Todd, and active cosplayers.
For those of you who don't know who Ray is referring to, check this link: http://www.crystalcosfx.com/
I nearly ran myself through on one of Katerina's swords before the side walls were put up. Yes, it left a mark.
This character's (Ryze) energy sphere was a challenge and really cool in the end -- 94 RGB LEDs controlled using my high-speed WS2801 driver.
Other the the eyes which requires a bit of custom PASM to control properly, the code for this guy (Tryndamere) was very simple. He's an impressive sight, though, standing seven feet tall (above his base).
Props on the props running props........ No job like the one where they pay ya to play at (hopefully one of) your favorite pastimes.
Don't know about the choice of babes though, seems they have a thing for sharp objects in common among them.... Where's Lorena?
