This morning, out of boredom and curiosity, I started working through the exercises in the Propeller Education Kit using my Quickstart module. Not a big thing, I know. However after uploading the program to EEPROM, I power the board with a small six volt solar panel next to my desk lamp. It's only a 1 watter so I'll probably be running out of milliamps shortly, but it'll be interesting to see how far I can get without adding another panel.

    That's a nice idea. Using a switcher between the solar panel and Vin to provide 3.5V to the 3.3V regulator would provide a few more milliamps. Since it has been snowing and the temperature is around -10 C (14 F) here the thought of playing with a solar powered prop on a warm sunny day is very appealing.
