I was on yahoo ( Yea I know how sad Eh . )
People are so afraid of the google glass.

I guess i dont get it . but I see it not a problem .


some one said that its gonna make us Deaf and bind. (I I fired back )

Jan , its funny you mention the def and blind...... I have REAL heads mounted display for a college project ,
One thing I have done is a Real TIme Voice to text converter .....
with the HMD you can SEE what people are saying !!!!!!
heck it allmost makes ASL useless ,

think of a teleprompter , for the deaf
Imagine now people whom are able to interact more with others . how is this a bad thing ?
for the hard of sight . the cam on it can do "object recognition" . and see stop lights ect..
and warm some one with bad sight that the cross walk is not safe to use .

and it can also increase contrast so that people with semi sight can see better at night and less then ideal conditions .

Is true . I put a old MS version of dragon on it and used a VM of XP .

SLOW as its a VM and the computer is 2 GB ram ... EKK!

but it works..




Lets keep it pithy but I wana know what you think of it as a TOOL for the handicapped .

Also Is Joe public overreacting considering they are a rich kids toy with there 1500 Dev price tag. Like a Segway ,, its a nitch item . not enough of them to be a issue ... ?

I have a challenge for people here too... take a Prop . a Bluetooth RX and a small display and make a SMS caller ID reading Heads mounted display .
