Lock to use with RFID Reader

I just got my RFID reader and cards today. I will also be buying a Reader/Writer fairly soon. I was able to run the locking mechanism demo with no problem. I changed the latch commands to have a Bi-Color LED light Red if the tag is unauthorized and Green if it is authorized. My question is, what type of locking mechanism should I use for my front house door? It's nothing fancy, just a standard door. I was thinking of a magnetic type door strike but those are a bit pricey so I am wondering if anyone has done something like this on the cheap without having to completely modify the door.
Edit: Also, Is there a way to make the program be able to identify more than 3 cards? If you have 5 people in a house and do not have the writeable tags then this could become in issue!!!

as you have a Steel Key, and a Key Pad for back up, just in case someone forgets their Key card.
In my area, those locks cost around $100 to $200+ depending on finish and trim options.
