Custom Soldering Houses

Can anyone suggest a compant that will do custom soldering to PCBs of some of the miniature SMT components like LGA-14s, LFCSP-LQ, etc? I have been using ExpressPCB to produce the boards and have been able to reflow or hand solder everything except the really small stuff. Not looking to spend a fortune, but on the other hand you can't out a price on your sanity. Proto-Advantage has a custom service but I'd like to look at other options.

Except for the fact of shipping across the country, Sparqtron in Fremont, CA, does a lot of "prototype" work for one off customers. It may be difficult and/or expensive to find a house that will do it at a good price unless you are doing other business with them.

Futurelec has had a jobber that makes printed circuit boards, and it seems that they will populate them partially or fully if you are willing to pay for such.

I guess the idea is that they can provide all the components as well as all the steps in fabrication in a one-stop shopping. I think the boards and soldering are done in China.

I have had boards made in China and the board maker was offering to do full or partial populating of the board, but I never did pursue it. So I don't know how you have to work out where the parts come from and so on.

At one time, I did comparative pricing of Futurelec and other alternatives and Futurelec came in about the same as the low cost board makers in China. I went with a Chinese one as I was curious to see what they could do. So I've never ordered from Futurelec.
