I cannot get my Parallax QuickStart to operate on a Windows 7 machine. Non of the drivers I've installed have worked. Is there a special URL I need to go to? I know it worked last year. Please help. Thanks.

I was using a QS with Winders 7 on a netbook. Pretty sure I d/l'ed the drivers right from Parallax. I don't have that setup right now cuz' I had to downgrade the 'book to XP so I could run some telescope drive software.

I'm also using Windows 7 and don't have a problem connecting to a QS board.

I think you what to make sure the QS isn't connected while installing the driver, but I'm not sure it having it connected would mess it up enough that you'd need to uninstall the driver and then reinstall it.

You can always go to the chip manufacturer's website to get the lastest driver. You can also go to Parallax's main webpage and click on "USB Driver Installer" near the bottom of the page.

Thanks for all your help. Unfortunately, I tried all the methods you suggested, but it still doesn't work. I going to noddle it around a little more. Perhaps it has something to do with the OS configuration or interrupt channel address. When I figure it out I will post the solution on this thread. Again, thanks to you all for the feed back.

I suppose you only have the one QuickStart to test with? I haven't ever had a problem with a QS's FTDI chip but I've managed to ruin a couple of Prop Plugs. It would be nice if you could eliminate the possibility of a bad FTDI chip.

    What about another PC?
