Thermistor on boe bot

I need help as soon as possible.

I want to interact a 10kohm thermistor with Boe Bot but I don't know how to connect him to protoboard.

Can someone give me a wiring diagram for that and write a program for simple temperature measurement?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Pavo.

Take a look at the RC timing circuits in the Basic Stamp Manual. You need to have a capacitor as well as the 10K thermistor to have something a BasicStamp can actually measure.

    OK.
Now I know how to connect it.
But how to convert this RC Time units in a temperature?
Is there any way to do this?? :(

    Pavo.

Here's the basic technique. This thread goes into specifics for the Stamp. All of this (and more) was found with a simple Google search.

Thank you so much for the help! :)

I'm sorry for putting this thread in the wrong forum.

While we might grumble about being in the wrong Forum, questions from newcomers are always welcome. If the thermistor doesn't have the range you need for a good temperature measurement or you get a bit dizzy by all the conversions and calibration, there are specific devices for measuring temperature.

Still, the thermistor is the least expensive and often the best way to learn.
