I have been trying 2 connect and communicate with my serial borad of education with a BS2 on a windows XP. The software along with the drivers are instaled properly also the device is seen on com1 "Viewing under device manager". The problem im having is when i try 2 identify the hardware under the propeller tool i keep geting a communication error stating that "No Propeller chip found on any serial port. Scanned com1." Dose anyone know what the problem is along with any tips 2 fix this?

    Mark,

Welcome to the forums. I was going to move your message to the appropriate forum, however I am unclear if you're using a BS2 or a Propeller Chip. You started your post about the BS2 serial port and ended it with No Propeller Chip found. Please clarify and I will move your post and see if we can get you some help.

You can't use the Propeller Tool with a Stamp, you must use the BASIC Stamp Windows Editor. Latest version v2.5.3 is a free download at http://www.parallax.com/tabid/441/Default.aspx

If you are using the propeller software to try to connect to a BS2 module, you'll get that exact message. Trust me, I know! :-|
