Webcam (Presentation) question....

Let's say you are giving a presentation. You have your laptop connected to a video projector and a webcam connected to your laptop.

You want to show your laptop screen to the audience, maybe something you are writing on Prop Tool for instance, but also want to be able to use the webcam as a video camera to show something that is on your desk in front of you maybe to demonstrate a program running on a quick start board.

What program (free?) would be used for this type of presentation? I have Windows Vista ( I know I know...)

Most laptops will mirror the display screen to the VGA output (to the projector). Check the display control panel for that. The webcam software normally allows you to view what the camera sees in a window and that will be mirrored as well. Set up the Prop Tool window so it doesn't cover up the webcam window and you should be "good to go" without any extra software involved. I know you can do this on a Mac and I've seen others do it on a Windows laptop.

One a Win PC open the web cam, open the Prop tool, and resize the windows so both windows are viewable on the laptop screen.
