Matt's name shows up has having a birthday today, but it indicates he is 81! (February 22, 1932)

Gee he doesn't look a day over 60!

If today = Matt's birthday then
  display "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
else
  display "data error"
end if

That health benefit package at Parallax must be pretty good.

Looks like he shares a birthday year with Ava Gardner and Judy Garland!

If Jen says it, it must be true! :)

    Happy 81st Matt!

Can an amoeba have a birthday? After all, it just divides and the first one is still alive today in each and every amoeba out there.

BTW, I am not saying Matt is an amoeba, but if he were?

    Hey all- thanks!
Sorry for not being more responsive here...Been really busy! Yes, the benefits are really good here - "81" isn't my age, it's the number of years that I've known KenG.

I met him when I was three. I think he was in high school at the time.

If Matt is really over 80 then he's even more well preserved than Captain Kirk.

Maybe a contest to guess the truth?

I'm currently sharing an office with MattG and I can confirm that the music he listens to supports his listed age. :innocent: Happy Birthday <insert proper moniker here> (he called me a youngin')

Happy 64th, MattG! Be sure to talk to the benefits people about some programs you may want to take advantage of at Parallax for people over 63.

I work @ the greatest company in the world! According to the HR department, I now qualify for either a Jazzy or a Lark through the PSMP (Parallax Senior Mobility Plan). Thank goodness this is a single story building...

My company is a little old fashioned. We get these as one part of our Senior Mobility Plan

I wasn't born yesterday... so at least I know that isn't my birthday. What is going on here? Are we talking 'dog years'?

Matt's years are likely counted in those lived by the Gist, a small cave salamander. Apparently these amphibians can live over 100 years, and that's pretty much the way things work in Matt's family. So, although he's only 63 (or 50, I dunno) he's only half way there at this point. And he lives a clean life as well, so that can only help!

After all this, I just wonder what we will do for Matt's birthday next year.

I didn't know Matt was a small cave dwelling amphibian. Parallax has some very interesting people on its team.
