Formaldehyde gas detection??

Hi, i have a question regarding trying to detect formaldehyde gas emissions from polyacetal (POM) plastic durring heating processes.
i know there are sensors out there that can do this (PID bulbs and such) but i dont need to know the emission rate very accurately (basically if its enough that a human can smell it the sensor output = 1 else sensor output = 0).
this is only to feed an input to a safety hood and tell it to close.
might you guys know of any solution on the market that could accomplish this??
Thanks!

Just Google formaldehyde sensor and you will come up with several options.
