Here is a teaser video of what you might call my Nerd Bug-Out boxes. These are ready to go in the event of urgent departure and contain virtually all my propeller related parts and supporting electronics and components. :D

Just in case the Zombies take over...

The are loaded down... My plan was to give a more detailed view but I got lazy. Perhaps I could give a closure look one at a time.

Those look like particularly well designed and built boxes... Do you mind my asking the brand and where you got them?

Tim - I got them at Home Depot. They are Husky 22 in. Cantilever Tool Boxes.

Those Husky boxes are great :) Nice collection of parts.

Kinda OT but you ever try making a pet 'microchip' reader?

That market seems to be covered. I guess we could try some out of the box thinking and come up with a new application besides identification.

Our rescue group doesn't have one because it is too expensive. We bought one for $120 and it turned out that it wouldn't read some tags and the one we need is like $300 something. People say lots of strays never get scanned because a lot of places don't have scanners. We're interested in making them for ourselves to reduce the vets workload, and then possibly a DIY kit so people can identify strays on their own too.

If I can finish a decent bill of materials to get it off the ground I'll definitely be in touch.

Hunters are using GPS for their dogs. I myself have a hound dog but do not hunt. However, I don't think he would be hard to find becuase he has a very distinct bark and for another is such a home body he would figure out where I am. Any how, some form of non removeable solar powered GPS would make hunters very happy if the price is right.

A bug-out box? I just grab a tooth brush, my credit card, and reading glasses.
