Hi, I just purchased one of via's Pico itx motherboard. After speaking with the sales rep he specifically instructed me not to power this board from a 12 volt battery as the fluctuations may impact performance. My robot only supply 12v from its internal batteries. What would you recommend to use to regulate the voltage to 12v even if the supply voltage drops below 12?
Thanks

If you can .... Find a laptop DC CAR adapter thhat can go as Low as 12V Out .....
Pico PSU-120 12V 120Watt DC-DC ATX Power Supply for Mini-ITX Mainboard
i am now considering using the M2-ATX 6 to 24V input 160W PSU, though it is a bit pricy. i like the size of the M3-ATX but not its reviews...
I will probably be placing an order for this PSU very shortly.
Build so far:
VIA P910-10Q motherboard
Crucial 8GB SODIMM
OCZ Vertex SSD
Im imagining that 160 watts should be plenty for this.
