Demo application - Spinnerett epin.htm used to rotate a webcam

This adventure uses a modified version of epin.htm to place a webcam in any of 16 positions about a full circle. The spinneret device running the modified epin.htm provides 4 output data bits as inputs to a BS2. This data is transmitted via Xbee’s to a remote BS2. The remote BS2 is programmed to rotate a full- rotation servo to 1 of 16 positions for full 360 degree camera viewing.

The website directly submits mouse clicks on the 16 hotspots located around a circle. The original textbox inputs were maintained as an additional means for manual control. See attached screenshots for positioning ring and also a view of the webcam setup.

Yet to be resolved…
1. “return value” has not been considered for closed loop operation, so it is possible for the camera to be pointed in a direction that does not correspond to the website display position. This could occur with rapidly changing mouseclicks.
2. The recover button functions to relocate the camera to the north position in the event a rotational image doesn’t load. Higher quality images of greater precision and smaller size might alleviate this problem. I hope the coming W5200 will help to resolve this problem.
3. A wireless webcam would enable a fully remote camera device limited only by the range of the Xbee’s and the range of the wireless camera.

Webpage may be viewed at http://72.208.99.227:5000/epin.htm

The camera isn’t functional but the servo is.
