So I came across a brand new one of these
http://www.purdyelectronics.com/pdf/and791gst.pdf
It is a purdy 4x40 parallel LCD with a KS0066 controller, which is suppose to be hd47780 compatible. Its a bit big, I really meant to get a 4x20 display but its a bit late for that. Im thinking this thing might look good mounted on top of a stingray robot. I was wondering what Id have to do to get this thing running, the data sheet doesnt have a whole lot of info as you can see. I looked through obex and saw that 4x20 was the biggest screen size driver for an hd47780 they had.
Also it say the duty cycle is 1/16th of a second, would I be able to use a shift register with this thing, I think I have a single 74hc595, will that work or would I need two?

Oldbitcollector has an updated driver for this: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qwhixzvtlrvp1u1/bNTtDjf2tV/Project%20Code/DEMO_LCD_40x4_4Bit%20-%20Archive%20%20%5BDate%202012.09.16%20%20Time%2014.04%5D.zip
There was a thread here as well, just can not find it.
