Whats the best way to inlcude a capacitor into the circuit to help start a dc motor when using an h-bridge. Do i use 2 caps, and put the polarities opposite?-thanks mike

A single capacitor across the power in lines is all that is needed unless you need 2 to get the required capacitance value.

Perhaps you mean filter caps? DC motors and H-bridges don't need caps to start. 3 caps in a delta arrangement usually works wonders to filter EMI: http://www.beam-wiki.org/wiki/Reducing_Motor_Noise
