Hello,

I am curious about linking to propeller processors together, general strategies on passing data and a common clock.

Regards

You would be better asking this on the propeller forum. Also search threads as there has been a lot of discussion about this.
It really depends on what you want to do. A number of us use multiple props connected in projects and they work nicely.

There are lots of ways of linking together two or more Propellers, but I think that most end up with one Propeller dedicated to real-time user interface - the video, the mouse, and the keyboard; and a second Propeller being a generalized device that can be deployed in any fashion.

With 3 Propellers, the third might in some cases manage memory, such as SRAM chips.

Cluso has made boards along these lines and many have followed similar designs.

In other cases, without the user-interface... it is just a matter of how many Cogs do you really need for the given project. SPI serial can be used to reach a second, a third, and more Propellers in a master/slave relationship.

Or, if you want parallel data transfers,
Protoboards can be stacked in an arrangement that Humanoido has explored for Propeller 'super-computers'.
