This is from Barton Dring, creator of the Maker Slide. The Maker Slide is the basis for the ORD bot as well as this delta bot.

After a little more looking: Apparently Barton Dring is NOT on the team, but they are using his maker slide.

The kickstarter options are all for complete printers, later we may be able to get just the mechanical parts and add our own electronics

I think they would get more contributions by adding more of the lower dollar options. Not a lot of people have $1,400.00 to spend on a 3D printer!!!!

It does look nice using the heavier extrusion.

I came across this variant of the Rostock using the openbeam that also looks good:-

I wonder how long it will be before we see a 6 foot high delta printer so you can print your own lifesize action hero

That's what I thought, too; but it looks like folks are snapping these up. Fourth day and the third tier sold out, and the fourth tier is nearly half consumed.

That Kossel looks pretty cool. I'm going to see what extrusion is available at the surplus shop. I might have on of these in my future....

At the $500.00 level I would have jumped in. I just can not justify $1,400.00 as that is a month and a half mortgage!!!
