EDDIE ROBOT TURN Command not working properly

Hi I just assembled my EDDIE robot and for some reason the TURN command is not working properly. When I do 'TURN 5A 4B' (from the parallax serial terminal) which is the command for EDDIE to rotate 90 degrees at 75 positions/second, EDDIE begins to rotate but then finishes off by moving forward a little bit. I have tested it several times and each time I get a different movement, sometimes it begins to rotate stops then rotates some more (all very fast, so it looks "jittery") then moves forward slightly. Any ideas?

This is a brand new EDDIE so it has the new encoders. Firmware is 000D and when I do HWVER I get FFFF (I dont think I am suppose to be getting this HWVER number, does anyone know?).

Check the robot forum for Eddie turn encoder issues: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php/138914-Eddie-TURN-command

Thanks for your reply erco it seems like the problems that were brought up on that forum post were due to the old encoders. My EDDIE has the new encoders with the new firmware. My big worry isn't that EDDIE is off by a few degrees when it rotates, rather I am extremely concerned with the fact that EDDIE drives forward (slightly) after it begins rotating. As always thanks in advance for your input.
