Propellerpowered grows again today!
We've opened a new store with a new URL http://www.propellerpowered.us
The old URL will forward, but DNS and cached pages may show you old content.
I've also added around 50 new items arriving now and more on the way.

Is the old URL going to stay around, or will it get phased out?

@RS_Jim, What kind of issues did you run into? (So I can duplicate them and solve them)
BTW, I just figured out the new "sales special" control.. Put a few items scattered throughout the store on sale. Pretty slick software this is..
Jeff
Problem gone, I was getting raw HTML code.

I say this, because things like add to cart, add to wishlist, and add to compare aren't actual buttons, just text areas that when clicked on perform the proper function behind the scenes so to speak.
Why does this matter you ask?
Well, because proper accessible web design would indicate that things that are buttons, (or things that perform buttons when pressed) should be buttons, not just hotspots that can be clicked.
Again, why does this matter?
Well, to most folks it doesn't (I'm assuming the areas in question are color coded in some way) but for screen reader users, these kinds of sites are a nightmare, because all this does is make it nearly impossible for us to determine what's clickble and what isn't. Worse, in some cases (such as voiceover on osx) we have to use a special screen reader only key combination to make these kinds of things work, because the regular mouse click hotkey doesn't work in these instances.
Again, for your site, this may not matter in the least, since it's likely there's not many vi users that are going to visit the site, and fewer still that won't be able to figure this out, but I just thought I'd mention it anyway, since it violates several of the design criteria for accessible web site design.
And, also, for what it's worth, I can't find text descriptions for most of the items in the store, only the short description that is (usually) chopped off in the table of items on the page after you select a group of items to be displayed. If there are text descriptions (I.E. this board contains vga, ps/2, and mouse ports), they aren't showing up for me.
Just as an exercise in futility, turn off loading of images on your page temporarily and see what the page looks like. The usability (or lack thereof) of the page will likely surprise you.
This is by no means a criticism, merely a heads up to let you know how usable the page is to those of us using screen readers. Admittedly, that's a very small (nonexistent) minority, but since it's something most webmasters never consider, I figure it can't hurt to point it out, since folks here on these forums seem to be pretty down-to-earth, and I'm not likely to be flamed out of existence for the pointer, as has happened on some sites.
Also, since this isn't a custom site, the folks who built the shopping cart might (it has been known to happen) actually wish to do something about such things, though generally, I'd never hold my breath on such things.
I understand completely.. One of the strengths of using the old Wordpress software was that it was incredibly compatible with portable devices, screenreaders, etc. It's geared that direction Unfortunately, sales volume over the last two months hasn't been enough to pay the rent, much less support my modest income. I had to make a decision to move up to the "big boys" in terms of store software. Perception of stability and not appearing "fly by night" is required in this day and age. The current software puts me on that page.
I will be filling in more of the text descriptions and adding videos, help guides, more schematics, etc. This should help offset this a little.
By no means should anyone flame your response. It's legit.
Edit: You've got me wondering if there might be some "extensions" for this software which could help. I'll put this into my research.
Jeff
Do try to look pro, but Don't emulate the mistakes the big boys make. Often, being big means making BIG mistakes. And often the mistake is to add flash and fluff that gets in the way of me finding what I want to buy.
But the site does seem to have some issues. Try this - navigate to the home page. Click on "Add to Cart" under the "RAISD" item. The button changes color but nothing happens. Nothing gets added to the cart. Like I said, I was eventually was able to order a few items, but it was a bit of a struggle to actually get the items added to the shopping cart.
I still use SX chips from time to time - any chance of stocking 10 or 20 mHz crystals?
Your package is on it's way!
Yes, I'll add 10mHz and 20mHz crystals to inventory.]
Thanks!
