Itouch controlling a parallax propeller: laser range finder and LED

Proof of concept for a larger project: Itouch controlling a propeller using a RedPark serial cable (thus, no need to jailbreak the touch). The RedPark cable connects to a Xbee Sip adapter with Xbee series one transceiver powered by a battery pack. This communicates wirelessly with the propeller board
and controls the laser range finder and an LED as noted on the youtube video:

This wasn't too difficult to do and was kinda fun. (note, I have no previous programming experience and learned rudimentary spin and IOS from the web). The possibilities for a hobbyist are endless. Unfortunately, Apple as of yet won't approve commercial applications.
