    Impressive. I've been doing some experiments with the Pololu IMU I bought at their black Friday sale, and the math to do that is pretty hairy. I've been working with a single axis, but that requires at least two, plus considering the possibility of rotation on the third.

    This may be a dumb question, but can a robot with a drive train like that roll around very easily when its not using omni wheels?

    No, omni wheels are required for three wheel bots like that. One wheel slipping sideways is how they move.
