On risk of being "political", I wish they would respond to a few other legitimate petitions which they have chosen to ignore.

i'd have to agree with Oddbitcollector. It seems that the media has gotten more and more into feeding the public factoids of the Ripley's Believe or Not genre and less about a real dialog about real concerns. This trillion dollar platinum coin is another zinger from the far side.

There are real issues and there are real political under-currents that are serious in the world today. But as Marshall McCluhan claimed, 'The media is the massage'.

For instance, China seems to be laying a very serious foundation to justify expanding its borders regardless of what the world or its neighbours think or say. And they appear to be expanding their navy to do so while exploring ways to eliminate satellites from an airspace over China and maybe beyond.

I can't figure out if China wants to do this for the oil and other resources, as pay back for getting beaten up in events leading up to WWII, a dislike of all western powers, or just a cultural need to attempt to create a new world order based on a Chinese dynastic rule. But I do feel that I may soon to be living in Chinese occupied territory. It feels like a repeat of what happen to Poland is about to take place.

Would that be the a-political ones? They all look political to me.

It's always about the resources. And China has a few billion reasons to covet the same.........

Virtual perfection is never what is is hoped to be. Accept the status quo and enjoy the peace.
