Hi,
I already posted a propeller platform clone with smaller footprint here
http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php/132904-Propeller-platform-clone-(thanks-Nick-and-all-the-forum-users)
It is featured in the Smorgasboard PCB too...
Time to present a smaller one..
This one is a yet smaller PCB. Not pin to pin compatible, the footprint of the two side rails are the same nonetheless excluding Vin.
The idea was to fit it in a 5 X 2.5 cm footprint. So the main PCB and a prototype board would fit in a 5X5 itead PCB, at 10$ for 10 boards...
By the way Itead mistakenly created a vgrrove cut in the middle, so they snap easily. Don't know what would be the cost of the service, but it is very nice.
The passives are mainly 0603 footprint, but the are not so bad to solder after all... the FTDI chip is still the most difficult to solder.
