They are giving him a royalty, asked for permission to post, and sell for cheaper

    Given that they are paying a royalty etc, would that not make it more like a authorized product than a knock-off? Knock-off implies cheap bottom-feeder rip-off cheap POS. Seems this one may actually be a good base frame for the project at hand..

    The Chinese did all the work and made the knock off, and started selling it, and wanted to advertize on the inventor's web site (selling for less that he sells them).

    HE calls is a knock, and THEY call it a knock off. We can call it anything we want I guess.
