No Davejames, it's not a new Hostess snack cake. Just Ken Block drivin' & driftin' through the eerily empty streets of San Fran. I thought Tracy Allen said it was all Priuses & Leafs up in the Bay area...?
Just a little something to get our heartrates up a bit as we surf the forums. I still say a robot drifting car would be a great challenge.

But what I really want to know is, how much money did he pay for the "carbon offsets" to redeem all the cr@p he spewed into the pristeen SF air? [/sarc]

Well then I'll double your money back!
A very cunning way to get me to watch a commercial for DC Shoes.
Well, heck, I had expected to see erco handing out pastries on a trolley. Or at least some Twinkies.
ditto!
The daily doughnuts almost killed me, but my cholesterol has gone way down by eating Taiwanese food ;-)
BTW, that ain't no streetcar, that's a cablecar, yes... there is a bit difference. The streetcars are electric.
Surprising too, is the absence of some activist group protesting the whole event on behalf of an endangered insect, or tree, or whale or some such thing! :blank:
@Loopy FWIW, the vehicles in the "streetcar donut" scene aren't even cable cars, just a couple of truck or bus chassis' made up to look kinda like our beloved cable cars.

Red Bull must have spent a mountain of money on this to get those streets cleared for the stunts. Even on Sunday morning SF is a very busy city and most of those locations are not just iconic, but also busy. I can't imagine they'd have been allowed more than a few hours for each tie-up to do the scene, including setup and removal of the protective barriers.
