Ghostly... Can Anyone Identify These?

I've been working on a new PCB design that uses some small solar panels for power. The testing is complete, but with all the handling the not-quite-ready for production components (board and panel) are getting slightly ragged on the corners... fuzzy in the case of the PCB. I was sitting thinking how nice it would be to have some little picture frame protectors that would fit on the corners, snuggly enough to be removed or even left on if necessary. A cold one later and I pretty much forgot about the idea. Except tonight, when I walked back into my work area, these two little guys were sitting on the floor, right next to each other (I'm not kidding). No one has been home but me, my wife and son were both gone. I pass over the same spot at least 50 times a day, everyday, all year long. They weren't there this afternoon. Beyond the creepy weirdness of how they got here, does anyone know where these might have come from and who makes them? Whoever left them could at last have left 4!!!

    I have a working theory which I pretty much live by....

    ....when in need the universe tends to provide if you know to look...

    It's also the theory which I tend to employ when trying to prevent myself from hording too much electronics junk. :)

    Could they be some kind of shipping thingies that fell off of something as you were unpacking it?

    I normally wold have thought that, but I've received no shipments this week.
    The last shipment was from Mouser and it was last week.
    These would have been so obvious it would have been like having a cricket on a toilet seat.
    No way you would missed it.
    Creeping me out. At least no one has thown the, "How many cold ones did you have before this?" comment.

    My guess was that they are some sort of edge protector that may have stuck to your shoe and the cold additives degraded the signal processor that would have otherwise been aware of an uneven surface underfoot........

    Oh, there they are. I was wandering around on the Internet one day and when I got back home I noticed I had lost them.... Oh well finders keepers, why don't you keep them if they are useful
