This robotic claw is a step up from the classic. The MKII takes everything you loved about the standard robot claw from DAGU and makes some significant improvements!

How much weight is this thing capable of picking up?

To me it looks like it will have a hard time holding on to things. The gripping surface is fairly small and not coated with anything to increase friction. If you take a look at a similar Lymxmotion gripper they use the full length of the parallel surfaces for gripping and coat them with rubber. Putting rubber tubing over the ends might help. The addition of a clutch is good because you can command the servo to fully close without fear of stripping gears. So that might allow for maximum holding torque if the clutch was well designed.

The end effector of a robot arm is fairly critical. I have never been satisfied with the scissor style gripper I purchased for mine and a good parallel jaw gripper would be an improvement.
