New Year's Cleanup! Tracked robot parts available!

Hey all,

Doing some cleanup in my home office, and abandoning a project here and there to make way for new ones. Here's what I've got available:
  • (6) six sprockets
  • (20) pcs of machined parts and bearings to fit inside the sprocket, so they can be mounted on a chassis with 1/4-20 screws
  • (6) bearings
  • (10) feet of roller chain with the attachment for conveyance (mount aluminum tracks!)
This hardware was originally destined to work with the motors in Parallax 27971 (the Motor Mount and Wheel Kit). But the project was clearly going to take more time than I have available. Now that three years have passed I should let somebody else have a try.

I'll ship this hardware to you for free, but I have two conditions. First, you finish the "project" (whatever you decide it is) on these forums. And second, you make a $25 donation to the charity of your choice.

First person to post some form of minor proof of their donation here gets the hardware shipped to them. USA addresses only please.

If you want to claim it before you make your proof of a charitable donation, just say so in a reply.

Thanks,

Ken Gracey

Ken, If no one has taken you up on this deal by the end of the week then I will. I am sure I can find a project to complete with it on the forum.

Edit: Ken, send me some links to your favorite Military and Childrens charities. I will then let my grandkids decide which one to donate to and will DOUBLE what you are asking.

Double or nothing in favor of children and military families - I like the counter offer!

    UNICEF
Make a Wish (bet your grandkids will choose this one)
    Fisher House
Homes for Our Troops (let's get these guys in homes before prices climb again...)

    Nice deal, NWCCTV!

Actually I had not thought of that. I am considering rigging up a 2-50MM CCTV camera on a chain drive system that will hover over head so I can view PCB's on a wall mounted monitor to make SMD soldering easier. But, if that is not feasable some sort of drive train is also possible.

OK, So the chains are quite a bit larger than I was expecting so I am going to have to figure out something else to use them for!!! Not a problem, as they may work great for my drive train on my current bot I have been working on.
