When I am typing a new thread, I get a little "Auto-saved" message that pops up now and then while I am typing. Does anyone know where this is saved and how I can reaccess it? I lost a message I was typing when I went to submit; I guess I took so long it logged me out. When I went to login, it lost my message.

It's an option when you go to reply to the same thread the next time. I don't know how long it saves it though. Look to the bottom of the reply box...

Well shoot....guess I lost it. That option isn't showing up when I go to reply. Thanks for showing me though, maybe next time I can catch it quicker.

Try this ext time you have a lengthy reply. Open a text document, click on Post Quick Reply, copy the quoted text and paste it into the document. Now enter your reply above or below the quoted text, select all the text in the document, copy it, and then paste it into the forum reply box. This way you can always click on Post Quick Reply again if it times out.

It also helps answer multiple questions in a post since you can add {/quote} your answer to above question {quote} after each question in the posted text.

I wish this forum software would't do what it does, which is to pretend to have text boxes and the like, as the one I seem to be using now to type text. But this is not a HTML textbox field. It just tries to look like one. What it does though, is to prevent me from doing what I do on every other forum: Use a browser extension to automatically let me edit the text of any HTML text field in my favourite editor, which will of course auto-save to my own desktop, among other things.

What the forum software also does is to for some reason force me to manually add all line shifts, with <br> tags, or everything would be in one big paragraph (one line actually). That happens with every browser on every desktop computer I have, but apparently not for any other users on this forum.

And what the forum software does is also to make it impossible to, in practice, edit an already posted message on an Android mobile device with an on-screen keyboard. At least I'm not alone in observing that, I've seen it mentioned by other posters here.

And, finally, I can't for the life of me see what this specially-mangled forum software does that isn't perfectly working in every other forum, using completely standard html text boxes for posting messages.
