Mounting Bracket for LCD

I developed a small counting device a few years ago to count people entering shops/museums etc. I built it around the BS1 project board and the LCD Terminal AppMod. It has worked fine and produced a small but steady revenue :-)
But the LCD AppMod has been discontinued, so I have to re design the project.
This means I will probably switch to the 2X16 Serial LCD and a BS2 Board - which will also give me some space for added features
But I wonder how do you mount the LCD inside a box in a simple way - since I don't have a ready made box with 4 corresponding screw hole. I have en enclosed a few pictures of the counter as it is to today, and I expect to use the same box with a bigger hole for the LCD. You can also see the product here http://www.footcount.dk/?lang=en
The best solution that have come up with until now is to machine cut a frame that fits round the (new and larger) display hole which I can glue inside the box, and then "drop" the LCD in to it.
But is there a simpler/better way to do this?
