Post a link to a thread at another forum?

Hello everyone,
I posted a question at arduino.cc/forum about a parallax item on an Arduino board, and I wanted to see if someone here may be able to answer it too.
I read the forum guidelines about cross-posting, but I wasn't sure if this only meant not to post the same item multiple times at the forums.parallax.com:
MY QUESTION: What are the rules about simply posting a link to another forum like arduino.cc or should I recreate the post here?

No cross-posting:
Cross-posting is: 1) submitting a post to one forum or thread, and then submitting a second linking to the original post (without changing content or intent), or 2) creating an identical post in more than one forum or thread. When the same content is found in more than one post, even under different subject lines, the forum moderator will remove one (or more) of the redundant posts.

Since we have relatively modest overlap with the Arduino forums, it would be permitted in this case.
Just my thoughts!

I read the guidelines as pertaining to this Parallax forum only.
And to make sure you remain within those guidelines, recreate the post here.
Ask away!
Too bad you used yours up already:
Just kidding, thanks for asking and fire away with your questions!
Although I wouldn't be surprised if there IS a way...
I just posted it as a new thread with the subject:
Parallax 2x16 Serial LCD Backlit, with Speaker #27977-RT
I think one of the Forum Gurus will have to address it as it's outside of my small moderator powers.
***Edit - ok, figured it out and you're good to go!
