Seems like a pretty reasonable price.

    Have used a similar product from a couple of manufacturers. This one is physically smaller and quite a bit cheaper.

    If your board needs more than, say, 300mA or so, these really keep heat dissipation under control.

    I've been replacing every heat-belching 780x part I can find in my old equipment with these cool running, switching alternatives. Maybe they'd not be so good for audio equipment? But for everything else I haven't found a downside.

    The ripple/noise spec looks pretty decent for a switch mode regulator, I've seen much worse in some of those cheap bench-top power supplies you can find on eBay and elsewhere. The price is not bad either.
