controlling stepper motors with a basic stamp

How do I control a stepper motor with a basic stamp? please help, I bought one like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/5V-Stepper-Motor-28BYJ-48-With-Drive-Test-Module-Board-ULN2003-5-Line-4-Phase-/120960379424?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c29ccea20 with the control board too.

    There's some discussion and examples in Nuts and Volts Column #6 (on using Darlingtons ... one for each stepper coil) and in the StampWorks Manual, Experiment #27.

    The N&V Column talks about the ULN2803 while your control board uses a similar ULN2003. The StampWorks Experiment uses an L293 in a nearly identical way. The sample code should work with minimal changes.

    You do not need books or money. The links Mike provided will take you to the N&V articles and SW manual.

    Yep. It's all downloadable for free. There's lots of other free stuff under the Resources tab and the Downloads button on the main Parallax webpage. Browse around. You have to pay if you want a bound paper copy. Pretty much everything else is freely downloadable.
