FORTH CONTEST: The END Times...or timers...or timekeeping

Signs the End Times are drawing near:

1) Your Mayan calendar says: 12/12/12 -or-
2) Your Mayan calendar says: 12/21/12 -or-
(ok, the Mayans appear to have had some issues with getting the data correct leaving some room for doubt)

3) HEATER is coding in FORTH!!!

Yes, truly, the END IS NEAR!!!!!

To celebrate the End Times and the coming Forth rapture, I'm having another contest for Forth coders (the good news is ANYONE can be a Forth coder!!))

The theme for this contest is time, timekeeping, timing, couting time...almost anything to do with time or timed events...be creative, almost anything can be considered something happening over TIME and the Propeller has NUMEROUS ways to do time things! Of course, Forth will give you access to all the periodic details.

I'm not sure what the prize(s) might be, yet...give me time! When it comes right down to it, though, we don't do this for the prizes, we do this for the glory.

The DEADline (such a harsh and final word) will be somewhere after the New Year, if we all make it that far. Let's say 13 or so days into the "new cycle" IF you remembered to order your new Mayan calendar. On or around January 3rd, 2013 for the rest of you!

TIME to take the plunge!
FREQUENT the Forth threads!
I can COUNT on you all!
Get the PULSE of the community!
DELAYS could be fatal!
No Excuses, PERIOD!
Let's keep this all on a positive TONE!
Keep a steady MEASURED PACE!
TICK
TOCK

    Hmmm.....
I must get one last order in to Parallax before the world ends and before I loose the 10% off for over $100USD.

What would the hereafter be like with a Propeller.

    Rick, you are a riot!

Loopy has influenced Caskaz to make a half duplex serial with help from Sal. Does bit-time count as timing?

Timing is very, very, very liberal.

    Bit times,
    frequencies,
    days,
    dates,
    hours,
    minutes,
pico-seconds (you may win if you can count/measure pico-seconds),
music is timing in my book,
    home automation, natch!
Universe Simulations (extra point for this one, too!)
    elapsed time
    intervalometers

Time Definition: temporal length of event or entity's existence

    You define the EVENT
    You define the ENTITY
    You define the PERIOD

if there's some signal that transitions on a periodic basis some place in the project, it's TIME related.

Even the FFT benchmark is a valid TIME related entry since the whole point of a benchmark like that is.......wait for it.........TIMING!!!!!

So, quite honestly, if you can't think of SOMETHING to do with Forth that fits these rigid definitions, then you really just don't want anything to do with Forth and as the Soup Nazi would say, "No TIME for you!"
