Sure, I will buy a couple. I can get them overnight from element14 for $105 AUD or less than $83 AUD from Digikey. I don't think that a group buy will affect the buy price greatly due to the nature of what it is, that it is a "subsidised" evaluation board.

There's still the other problem of whatever discount we get we end up having to pack and pay shipping costs to everyone so it starts becoming so not worth it. Shipping cost is less than $30 from Digikey so it's possible we could save some money in that department though. Look, I if I just go and order 10 and anyone here in Oz can just get them for that price of $83 + local shipping. I will try for a better price from Digikey anyway.

I got a better price from Digikey of $77.90 AUD but I'm trying Terasic themselves.

I just spoke to Ray and discussed this a bit further so with the better price from Digikey after shipping and reshipping it will still end up costing us $90 AUD each in the hand. Now Element14 have them in stock for overnight with free shipping for $104.90 so even though their price is a bit high it doesn't seem worth it to bother with the group buy.

I've asked both E14 and Braemac for a quote on DE0 and DE2. Lets see what comes of it. Don't forget to factor in GST (E14=au$115.39), Digikey ~ 77.90+(30/1.03)~$107, but will take several more days. E14 looks like the way to go especially if they give a discount

    cheers

The trick to ordering from Digikey and Mouser is never to get it in AUD+GST+free shipping. It works out a lot cheaper to just pay the normal US price plus $30 shipping as you probably know and for now all imports under $1,000 does not attract GST or import duty. So anyway, as you were saying to factor in the GST for E14 which is correct but it's not big bucks overall and it is overnight. Still, I've got a DE2 I'm powering up so the DE0s can come next week on my order with Digikey.

Yes I've always found USD to work out best, across Digikey, Mouser, Amazon, Paypal, ... also 28 degrees mastercards don't have the usual 2.4% foreign currency conversion which saves a bit more.

E14 quote came in at $98+GST and free overnight delivery, so went with that while measuring up DE2-115 options. We likely need a DE2-115 for another project (& 3rd party HSMC board).
