Servo with Propeller

Is anyone aware if I can control my hitec micro servo off of the propeller proto board? I read the specs on the servo and it says it operates on a 4.8v-6v; however, everything Ive read that the propeller chip can only run servos off of a stand alone servo controller.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    It will work just fine.

I'd put a 2k2 resistor in-line with the signal line, and make sure you power the servo off 5V

I've run a lot of servos and sensors at the same time from a prop... see http://mikronauts.com/roboprop/

I've had a few servos that didn't like having a resistor on the input line (I was using a 4k7, a 2k2 might not have been a problem). As Bill said, power the servo with 5V (or what ever it's happy with) but make sure your servo and Prop share a common ground connection (my personal favorite thing to forget).

And whenever servos are mentioned together with Propellers, that's my cue to point out my 32 servo demo and my QuickStart servo tester.
