Can a propeller do speech recognition?

So im looking to add very simple speech processing in to my project maybe 10 to 20 one or two word commands. I know there are third party boards out there that do this but I saw a mic schematic on the prop demo board I think and it got me to wondering if maybe I would just do this directly with a propeller?

.oh this is awesome didnt come up when i searched for voice recognition. do u have any suggesrions on a mic that could get a few feet of range
