VGA is just what was handy for my own setup of this. You could use it with the PropBOE by changing the VGA to start at 8 instead of 16. There's some documentation for easily hook-up of VGA on the PropBOE, I'll see if I can lay my hands on it.
The easiest connection to the Serial/Wifi board w/adapter is to use the 4pin connection at the bottom of the board. You'll be able to access it using FullDuplexSerial (or compatible object)
Thanks Jeff. So I do not need to use any of the pins on the single row header, correct? That is where I was getting confused. I think I will just pull out my Quick Start board since both of my Prop BOE's have stuff hooked up for testing and I do not want to mess them up right now. Do I use Pin 16 or 8 on the QS for VGA?
The pins down the side of the adapter board were put there for those who want advanced access to the pins of the Wifi module. If you are going with a QS board, wire up your VGA to pin 16 since most objects are written for that (demoboard compatible) configuration.
There is an external antenna clip on the Wifi module itself. I've not had reason to use it, but will be testing soon as I had some laptop Wifi antennas dropped off this week to try that out.
Does anyone know how to reset these devices to factory default? I attempted to change the IP address from the web browser and now cannot get into it at all.
Thanks for the file, Jim. Not sure what the heck I am doing wrong but I can't seem to get it to reset. Tried using a prop plug to connect also with no luck. Any chance someone has a quick an dirty schematic as to how to connect so I can verify I am doing it correctly?
Andy be sure you hold reset pin down for at least 1 second, also be sure you cross connect tx,RX .
I made that mistake once and went nuts trying to find the problem.

Did that. I was finally able to get in to the web browser using the IP that I gave it. Although it was in the same subnet as my current network it will only allow me to connect when I am on the ssid of the device, not the one I am on. However, I still cannot connect via terminal for some reason. I have tried both a prop and an TTL serial usb adapter.

That should work perfectly. Just observe your TX/RX pin settings and you should be in business.

Nope, it's on top of the module, lower middle, left. Look for a small gold circular connection socket. It's tiny.
