I just received this pocket router/wifi extender ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1PU0FG9304&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_- ) in the mail and was pleasantly surprised that is worked as advertised and is smaller than I had pictured. Switch the switch on the side to "Client." Set the router settings on a computer (port forwarding etc which it remembers when you unplug it), feed it 5V-.5A and an Ethernet device (in my case the propNIC) and away you go. The plan going forward is to then modify Harrison Pham's PropTCP to make a wifi steerable boebot type robot. Set a smartphone on it running Skype and you have a tiny little telepresence bot. figure out how to connect it through the phone's hotspot and you have a robot you can drive to the store and watch as it gets picked up and carried off by some very pleased hooligan. Not bad for $21.
