Hi
Situation:
Different laptops or Lifebooks, power from USB to Quick Start boards (>10), Propeller Tool 1.3,
Problem :
sometimes the Quick Start stops executing program loaded from Propeller tool 1.3 and (resetts) starts objects from the EEPROM.
one day it takes seconds or a few minutes to stop - other days no problem at all.
Have not found any systematic about the problem as time, place, application, different Laptop, different QuickStart card, ...

Some one having the same experience ?

/Stefan

Are you driving anything else with the QuickStart board? Sounds like the voltage is sagging a little and resetting the Propeller. It's not as portable, but I'd try using a powered USB hub.

You get this problem even if you disconnects any connections on the 40-pins header?

    Like they said.

What is connected, what circuit are you driving?

Even without anything connected to the board.

    Could it be:

    1) not stable 5V from the laptop - change of the 3 USB in my Lifebook or another older laptop dosn't matter

    2) floating PC and USB 5V supply - in Sweden we floating PC power supply adapter = zero and 240V phase input without GND connected.

the usb ftdi chip or whatever causes it I am sure... You can search for posts by me, and see a post to the effect of Prop Power cycling... It explains some, idk if this is the exact problem you are having, but it sounds like it. /shrug

Thanks - I'll try the 4,7k pull up to TX and RX.
Last week I added a 100k pull up to get rid of the "No propeller chip found ..." during F10 process.

Since I cant reproduce the problems - I just have to wait and see if problems solved.
