Do you have suggestions for getting to Newcastle?
I searched on internet but it looks quite difficult to get there.

    Hi Massimo

There doesn't seem to be many direct flights to Italy from Newcastle but it has very good links to Heathrow (UK, 6-flights a day), to Gatwick (UK, 3-flights a day), to Amsterdam (Netherlands, 4-flights a day) and to Paris CDG (France, 3-flights a day) so you can change at one of these airports.

or if you're travelling by train, it's only 3-hours from London, with trains every 30-minutes.

There was a convenient flight from Gatwick (flybe) when I went to the previous Faire, it left at 08.30. I just made it in time by train from where I live. I stayed at the Jurys Inn hotel, it's near the venue.

    Thanks.
I wasn't able to find a viable solution so far.

Only a couple of days to go.

I've just read Mitch Altman is going to be there again this year, so looking forward to meeting him again and listening to his talks.

We at Makerspace @ Newcastle are setting up on Friday along with the other makers and hackspaces.

Looking forward to my first year as an exhibitor :-)

Maker Faire UK was a roaring success. We had a great time speaking with many other UK and Irish makers and the number of people visiting our Makerspace stand was awesome :-)

    Awesome couple of days.

I spent most of it on the Makerspace stands, which were packed with cool projects. I'll have to post pics of my RKade Pi mini arcade cabinet. Ed's Laser Caper was great. We got to play it on Sunday at the very end. We met with lots of other UK and Irish maker. Guys and gals from London, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Dublin. We also spent some quality time with our friends Aaron from Oomlout and the indefatigable Mitch Altman
