Could have used that for my oldest son when he was in High School.

I'm going to make one of these for my middle daughter. Thanks to JonnyMac, I know where to get the pneumatic cylinder.

Maybe he just needs a significant other to do that for him.

For about 3 years now I've had the idea for an alarm clock that literally rolls you out of bed. My design would have 2 hydraulic actuators on one side of the bed and supporting hinges on the other, and it would tilt the bed so that you would roll off. I've avoided building it due to the cost. This seems like it's almost the same thing, only far more extreme.

If for any reason it took this much effort to get me out of bed I think I would just stay there!!!!

The problem with that, once you are on the floor, you can go back to sleep!

How about it dumps a bucket of cold water 10 seconds later? Releases the hive of bees? Dumps you in the pool with the mutated sea bass with lasers on their heads? he he. Don't sleep in when the mad scientist is in da lab :)
