Propscope problem?

Being very new to the Propscope, this may be a user error. When doing activity #2 in the Understanding Signals book, after what seems to be a random amount of time, the trace gets a bit crazy. It plugs along at 5ish volts for channel 1 and 8ish volts for channel 2, but then it starts flashing and bouncing from 0 volts to 10 volts very quickly, resulting in a rather jagged trace. I uploaded a jpg of the screen if that helps. Thank you for any suggestions (or derision) you can provide.

Edit: I found that if I move the horizontal scale dial, it goes back to normal, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a couple of minutes.

    Your symptoms match a hardware problem that was resolved earlier this year. Please contact Parallax for a replacement.

    I have the same problem, I come from Indonesia.
    how can I get a replacement proscope and how to process the shipment ?
