Erco and Gordon hit back to back grand slams in the November SERVO magazine. (OK, I know you can't hit back to back grand slams but allow me some license)
Erco's speech article is just good plain hacking fun! Lots of ideas and information on how to hack a speech chip into a bunch of different things and drive it with a bunch of different micros. A good read with a good, fun hacking feel to it!!
Gordon tackles a remote control for your robot using XBee's. A super start to finish tutorial to get you talking to your Arduino(!?) powered robot. Lots of good information and ideas here too. Well written enough that you could get by even with something OTHER than an Arduino!!
Excellent work, gentlemen!! BRAVO!!
(the other two feature articles are also a good read for anyone interested in quadcopter robots!!)

Andy (Lindsay) already wrote that article, for the Stamp. (His used an accelerometer for steering the robot by tilt; I cheaped out and used a Parallax 5-position switch. The article also used two kinds of Parallax XBee adapters.) The PropBoe makes building an XBee-based robot too easy, not even needing an adapter.
Anyway, glad you liked the articles. I haven't seen the issue yet. I'll get mine in about a month. Mail is slow around here.

I was trying to wire up one of my RoboTalk chips this morning following erco's directions. I'm still doing something wrong.
BTW, The chips erco wrote about are on sale again (I think they're $16 instead of the usual $25). It's a good time to pick some up.
I was pleased to see Gordon's article mention Zigbee since most of my XBees are Zigbee versions. I haven't read the article yet though.
Anyone else notice quadcopters are all the rage these days? There are several quadcopter articles in this month's Servo.
