Jameco is selling this solar panel charger kit which uses a Basic Stamp 1

The Solar Sequencer kit enables a single solar panel to charge multiple lead-acid batteries of different sizes and capacities, keeping them isolated from each other. An example is a truck, lawn mower and an ATV battery can all be maintained with just the single solar panel. It is also possible to use a solar panel and battery to run a garage door opener in a building with no access to utility power.

The kit uses the Parallax Basic STAMP 1 microcontroller, which reads the batteries voltages by reading an ADC 0834 analog to digital converter. Using these readings the solar sequencer can determine if a battery needs to be charged, and can also load test the solar panel. Check out what others are saying about the Solar Sequencer project build!

I made a my own Solar Sequencer or I call it a solar charger controller that allows a single solar panel to charge multiple lead-acid batteries of different sizes and capacities, keeping them isolated from each other and mine uses the EFX-TEK Prop-1 which is on based the Basic Stamp 1

BTW, This project was done aboard the former USS Zuni - USCGC Tamaroa, which was the rescue ship during the 1991 Halloween Storm or the The Perfect Storm, which later became a movie of the same name.
