Lost communication with Propeller on Quickstart boards

Please Help!
I have two QuickStart boards that have lost communications with PST.
On both boards I was running Jason Dories QuadX V2 code, which worked well on both boards. I have been using the Sparkfun 9DOF board for the ITG-3200.
Last weekend, I was tuning the PID numbers, trying to achieve a balanced response from the gyro. I was running the motors up and down their rpm range, when suddenly the motors quit responding to my transmitter/receiver.
I then connected the QS board to my computer and found no response to the ground station. I then tried to see if the board would receive anyything in PST at the 115200 baud rate. I received the No Response from Propellor error, which also happens when I try to connect to Propeller Tool. Both boards are not able to communicate.
My question is there anything I can do to regain comms?
Thank You for any suggestions.
Rob

Thank You Mike, I am running Propeller Tool v1.3 on two different computers, still with no luck.
I can add that the com port is found on both computers, however they don't speak Spin.
